The WAEC 9-point scale

At Junior High School level, subject grades are often expressed on a 1–9 numeric scale aligned with WAEC conventions, where 1 is the best grade and 9 is the weakest. Each subject's final score maps to a grade band based on the school's configured grading scale.

What is JHS aggregate?

Aggregate is the sum of the grades from a student's best six subjects (including core subjects like English, Mathematics, Integrated Science, and Social Studies where applicable). Lower aggregate numbers indicate stronger overall performance.
